What is Metaverse?
You’ve probably heard of the Metaverse, which appears to be popular right now. It is expected to be the next big thing in technology, with a $800 billion market by 2024. What is metaverse? A metaverse is a 3D virtual realm in which users can engage for a number of purposes. Consider the internet today, but enclosed within a virtual three-dimensional realm or placed on top of the real world in the form of augmented reality. The border between the digital and actual worlds is blurring with augmented reality. The virtual reality side of the metaverse, as currently conceived, would resemble the real world, with people represented by virtual avatars. Rather than immersing the user in a completely digital environment, augmented reality simply overlays interactive digital features on top of the real world, usually via a headset.
